¿Xiaoliang Liu is Associate Professor, Master's Supervisor, and Director of Urban Emergency Management Research Center in School of Social and Public Administration, East China University of Science and Technology, with research interests in public security, emergency management, risk management, and urban governance. In 2007, he studied at Yokohama National University as Visiting Scholar in Japan. He has presided over nearly 30 research projects entrusted by institutions, agencies, and government units, including China's National Key R&D Programs, China's National Social Science Fund Projects, Shanghai Municipal Government Decision-making Consultation Projects, Shanghai Social Science Planning Projects, and Chinese Postdoctoral Science Foundation Projects. In terms of academic writing, he has published about 30 papers in academic journals represented by Journal of Public Management, submitted nearly 20 decision-making consultation reports, and co-authored several books includingtextbooks.
