Xin-she Yang obtained his D.Phil. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Oxford. He then worked at Cambridge University and National Physical Laboratory (UK) as a senior research scientist. Now, he is a reader at Middlesex University London and an elected fellow of Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (FIMA). He was the IEEE CIS chair for the Task Force on Business Intelligence and Knowledge Management (2015-2020). He was also an editor-in-chief of International Journal of Mathematical Modelling and Numerical Optimisation (IJMMNO) (2009-2022). With more than 20 years of teaching and research experience, he has authored more than 10 books and edited more than 15 books. He has published more than 250 peer-reviewed research papers with nearly 86,000 citations. According to Clarivate Analytics/Web of Sciences, he has been on the prestigious list of highly cited researchers for eight consecutive years (2016-2023).
