Aristotle's "Meteorology" is - after the theoretical works "Physics" and "De Generatione et Corruptione" - the first practical application on the evidence of the elements and their properties. The texts of the Arabic and Latin versions, the last of which is printed here for the first time, are presented together with an Introduction and Index.

Pieter L. Schoonheim, Litt.Dr. (1974) in Aristotelian Studies at the University of Amsterdam, was sometimes Fellow of NIAS, Wassenaar. He has regularly contributed to the conferences of the Project Recupero di Testi Classici attraverso le Lingue del Vicino e Medio Oriente (Naples). He is presently working at a library in Middelburg, the Netherlands.
