Es educadora y filóloga. Dirige Espantapájaros Taller, un proyecto de formación de lectores desde la primera infancia, donde desarrolló una de las primeras "bebetecas" de América Latina. También ha sido consultora del CERLALC y el ICBF y columnista del diario El Tiempo.

Yolanda Reyes is an educator and writer. She is the director of Espantapájaras Taller, a cultural literacy project. She specializes in reading education and publishes her research in books and journals throughout Latin America. She also writes books for children, including El Terror de Sexto B, which one the Fundalectura award and was selected for International Youth Library's White Ravens; Una Cama Para Tres, which was also a White Ravens selection; Los Agujeros Negros, and El Libro que Canta. She is a columnist in El Tiempo, for which she earned an honorable mention in the Simón Bolívar journalism awards.
