Biografische Anmerkung

In literature, various methods for the estimation of Ciprofloxacin and Ofloxacin are present with some inferiority. As, these fluoroquinolones are the most frequently used drugs amongst antibacterial agents. Therefore, an attempt to design a method of estimation, which may be superior in some context to the existing ones, was thought to be worth the effort. Thus, the aim was to develop and validate high performance liquid chromatography assay for rapid determination of Ciprofloxacin and Ofloxacin which should offer simplicity, reproducibility, selectivity, sensitivity, and accuracy of the assay method which should be suitable for routine analysis. Developed method has been successfully applied for the analysis of marketed tablets and can be used for the routine analysis of formulations containing any one of the above drugs without any alteration in the assay. The superiority of the method is common chromatographic conditions adopted for both formulations. The simplicity, specificity, selectivity, rapidity, reproducibility and economy of the proposed method completely fulfill the objective of the research work.
