An illustrator for children’s books, magazines, cartoons, and toy design, he draws inspiration from his Asian origins, Japan residency, and love for Japanese animations, especially Studio Ghibli. His picture books have been translated into several languages and have won multiple awards, including the International Award for Illustration at the Bologna Book Fair (2010), the Andersen Prize (2017), and Taiwan’s Best Young Readers’ Book of the Year (2021).
