Barbara Taptuna Olson is from Kugluktuk-Nunavut's most westerly community. Her passion for teaching and learning has been central to her career as an educator with the most recent being a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education from Royal Roads University. When Barbara is not teaching or writing, she is sewing traditional and contemporary kalikuit, carving traditional needle cases, berry picking, or fishing.

Amiel Sandland is an illustrator living in the Toronto area. He studied illustration at Seneca College, eventually specializing in comic arts and character design. He has also dabbled in layout, comics, and props making. Rarely found without a pen in hand, he enjoys drawing animals, monsters, and plants.

"Long ago, there was a wolf, a gull, and a raven."
Wolf, Gull, and Raven are neighbours. Wolf loves to hunt caribou. Gull loves to catch Arctic char. They both like to share with their neighbours. Raven likes to eat lots of different things, but she doesn't know what to share with her neighbours. Can Raven find the perfect meal that everyone will enjoy?

This stunningly illustrated bilingual picture book serves as an early-level introduction to the rich, mysterious world of Inuit mythology. Intended to teach Inuinnaqtun as a second language, this book can be enjoyed by Inuinnaqtun language learners and curious young readers alike.
