Posttraumatic Joy presents the major themes and ideas of Nietzsche's corpus from a continental and psychoanalytic perspective with a particular bent toward how they might illuminate ways of coping with and living beyond trauma and suffering.

Matthew Clemente is a husband and father.. He is a Research Fellow in the Center for Psychological Humanities and Ethics at Boston College and the Assistant Editor of the Journal for Continental Philosophy of Religion. His latest book, Technology and Its Discontents (coauthored with David Goodman), is forthcoming from Oxford University Press.
