Jin Chi is an Associate Professor in the Institute of Teacher Education Research, Faculty of Education, Key Research Institutes of Humanities and Social Sciences in Universities of Ministry of Education, at Beijing Normal University. Her work focuses on quality learning and sustainable development, in particular child development and education, teacher education and policy, and rural women and girls' education and development. She has published nine books and 40 articles in professional journals and chapters in books, and research reports.

Eduardo Velez Bustillo has been an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University and Peking University; and Visiting Professor at Beijing Normal University, Fudan University, and Kobe University. His main interest is education and development, in particular economics of education. He has published ten books and more than 100 articles in professional journals and chapters in books, and research reports.
