Were the books of New Testament canon written as Scripture or did they become Scripture by a decision of the second-century church? Michael J. Kruger challenges the commonly held "extrinsic" view on the emergence of the New Testament canon in favor of a canon that arose naturally from within the early Christian faith.
Michael J. Kruger (PhD, University of Edinburgh) is president and professor of New Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is the author of several books, including Canon Revisited: Establishing the Origins and Authority of the New Testament Books and The Heresy of Orthodoxy (coauthored with Andreas Köstenberger).
