Exosomes are small membrane-binding vesicles highly generated by utmost cells both in normal and morbid conditions, their production stimulated by a lot of agents such as extracellular stimuli (microbial infection and stress states). Exosomes main function was the elimination of dispensable proteins from the cells. Now, it was found that exosomes play a central role in cell¿cell communication and other biological functions. Recent studies revealed the role of these vesicles as modern biomarkers in the prognosis, diagnosis and management of cancer and of other diseases and consider their therapeutic potential in the treatment.
