The subject chosen is an important one, as it deals with the study of insect which is significantly important from the point of view genetic studies.The outcome of the beautifully carried out study for understanding the divergent strategies viz., developmental plasticity, melanisation extent, desiccation resistance, acclimation and nature of food reserve and its utilisation, for the successful adaptation/distribution of drosophilids shall contribute a lot to the purpose of science.
