What does the Bible say about immigration? How do we love our migrant neighbor? What does it mean to love God and live out his will in relation to immigration? This book is designed to help Christians think biblically about issues related to immigration today.
Amanda Benckhuysen is the Johanna K. and Martin J. Wyngaarden Senior Professor in Old Testament Studies at Calvin Theological Seminary. She researches and writes in the area of Old Testament ethics, studying the Bible for how it speaks to the ethical challenges we face today. She recently published The Gospel According to Eve: A History of Women's Interpretation, and has written numerous articles exploring biblical perspectives on immigration, gender, violence, power, and the mission of God. Amanda is an ordained minister in the Christian Reformed Church. Prior to teaching, Amanda served as a campus minister at the University of Michigan. She is the daughter of Dutch immigrants who settled in Canada and now an immigrant herself to the United States.
