In Zimbabwe, borders play a crucial role in maintaining state security as well as promoting political, economic and social development. Dynamics of Contemporary Border Management in Zimbabwe: Challenges, Benefits and Prospects is an analysis of the effectiveness of border management programmes, mechanisms and frameworks implemented at the Zimbabwean borders. Using the political economy approach, the authors evaluate the challenges affecting the management of the borders in Zimbabwe and proffer recommendations that if implemented, will meet international best practices in border management.
