David Hall is a well-known author, consultant and entrepreneur with over 40 years experience in the sector. He built his own consulting and training business to 120 employees working from twelve offices across the UK, which he then sold in 1995, to focus on his consultancy practice. He has worked with over 100 businesses in the UK, Australia, South Africa and Indonesia. He co-wrote and presented the BAFTA award-winning BBC business series, Winning in 1992 and Winning 2 in 1994. He has published four books: The Hallmarks for Successful Business; In the company of Heroes; Doing the Business; and Entrecode - Unlocking the entrepreneurial DNA. He has a postgraduate diploma in management and a master's degree in management studies. He was awarded a Visiting Professorship by Curtin Business School in Perth Western Australia in 2002 for 'a sustained and committed intellectual contribution to business knowledge and practice.' He was also made an Honorary Doctor of the University of East Anglia and the University of Essex in 2009. He lives with his wife in Hotham, East Yorkshire.
