Biografische Anmerkung

This is a story of a family's journey to Hell and back. It's about the joys and the heartbreak - the tragedies and the triumphs. It's how life as you know it can change in an instant. It's about a man's courage in the face of adversity. It is a true story.
Author bio:
Catherine Brown has a BA degree from the Open University obtained in her later years. She spent her early years caring for her children, whilst her husband whom she met when they were both 16 years old, brought home the bacon. When the children were older, she went on to have an office-based career. She has two grown up daughters and three granddaughters. She confesses to knowing nothing about sons or grandsons. At home, she lives with her two dogs and her beautiful snowshoe cat.
This is her first book which is an autobiography. When not writing, Catherine enjoys long walks through the fields with her dogs.

Catherine left school with only a handful of written qualifications. School didn't accommodate or suit her needs as a dyslexic. However, if effort and determination had been recognised as achievements then she would have excelled.
Never being prepared to take 'no' for an answer, she managed to move from leaving school at 16 as a hairdresser, to a career spanning more than two decades as a police sergeant. Sadly, her career ended after being injured in the line of her duty leaving her with a permanent disability to her foot.
Looking for a purpose and reason to get out of bed each day, she has returned to her childhood love of art. Tapping into her creative talents she has both written and illustrated her first children's book, 'The Adventures of Roobie & Radley and the Christmas Campervan Rescue'. She has two West Highland Terriers and a VW campervan, which both provided the idea, and inspiration for her book.
