Another gorgeous Little Gem from household name Jeremy Strong, with the same author/illustrator dream team pairing

From a multi award-winning and top-selling author: nearly 250,000 copies of his Barrington Stoke books sold alone

The first Nellie Choc-Ice tale sold strongly and received rave reviews from press and readers alike

The acclaimed Little Gems are stunning first chapter books by the cream of children's talent, with super-readable layouts and design, a chunky friendly format, high spec finishes and packed with fun extras - sales for the series are over 400k since the launch in 2012

Jeremy Strong is a former head teacher and multi-award-winning children's author, a fact recognised by 10 Downing Street when Jeremy was invited to speak to the Prime Minister as a reading ambassador. He launched the popular Read for My School campaign with Book Trust and is their high-profile figurehead for the scheme. His books for Barrington Stoke have sold over 200,000 copies.

Jamie Smith has worked as an illustrator for over 15 years. He says his first art-related memory was drawing a hamster to impress his new teacher. It was a fine hamster, and pencils and paper have been Jamie's constant companions ever since. He lives in Surrey, where he works in a studio at the bottom of the garden with a spaniel for company.
