Annie Chartres Vivanti: Transnational Politics, Identity, and Culture explores the work
of British Italian writer Annie Chartres Vivanti (1866-1942). This volume provides a
multidisciplinary approach to the study of Vivanti in order to analyze the diverse and
complex writing experiences in which she engaged. Essays examine Vivanti's work
through multiple perspectives, taking into account her politics and her career as
journalist, writer, and singer as well as her literary works.



Sharon Wood is professor emerita of Italian at the University of Leicester.
Erica Moretti is assistant professor of Italian at Fashion Institute of Technology-SUNY.
