On Veterans Day, we fly flags and hold parades to honor the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. In this illustrated book about one of our national holidays, we remember those who have died and thank those who are still living for their service to our country.

Some of Allan Morey's favorite childhood memories are from the time he spent on a farm in Wisconsin. Everyday he saw cows, chickens, and sheep. He even had a pet pig named Pete. He developed a great appreciation of animals, big and small. Allan currently lives in St Paul with his family and dog, Ty, who keeps him company while he writes children's books.
