Li Jian graduated from Hebei Normal University in 2001, majoring in Chinese Painting. Mr. Li used to be a middle school art teacher, an editor for kid's books, and a partner in an illustration studio. Currently, Mr. Li owns his own illustration studio focusing on illustrations for children's fairy tales. He has also published The Water Dragon, The Little Monkey King's Journey, and The Snake Goddess Colors the World.
