This is the story of Arthur MacArthur Jr who began his military career as a boy fighting in a Wisconsin regiment in the Civil War. He became one the most important military leaders of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. His son Douglas once said, Of all men I have known my father was the one I most respected and admired.
