The Mission tells the story of a man's journey in Africa (from the Cape of Good Hope, to the north). The story documents observations and descriptions of Africa- the land and animals- and also talks about the settlement of the Cape. It was intended for young people. Alexander goes on thrilling, perilous adventures.
