Michael Wesley Smither was born and raised in the small town of Danville, Indiana. After graduating from high school, he discovered his love for working with children. He is currently in his ninth year working as an educator in a special education classroom. He is the author of Backward Zoo and Bunky and the Enchanted Library. His passion for children and his students inspires him to write children's books.
