Eight-year-old Sadiq wants to try out for the youth football team like his friends, but his parents feel he's too young, and instead suggest that he take up running and join the track club. Sadiq feels that running is wimpy, but the coach convinces him that running races can be fun as well.

Siman Nuurali grew up in Kenya. She now lives in Minnesota. Siman and her family are Somali-- just like Sadiq and his family! She and her five children love to play badminton and board games together. Siman works at Children's Hospital and in her free time she enjoys writing and reading.
