Transversity is about the challenges of complexity in research and education and the responses to them by Universities in several parts of the world, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Austria, the European Union, Australia and Romania. These responses range from reorganization of much of a major university to focused degree and research programs. In addition to bridging traditional disciplines within the universities, transdisciplary programs span the boundary to the community and to business and government organizations. The book includes material from interviews with academics, as well as descriptions of their programs.
