Capturing the experiences of the people of Staffordshire during the First World War in their own words.

Karen Hunt is Professor of Modern British History at Keele University and Chair of the Social History Society. From 2013 she became one of the West Midlands advisors to the AHRC/BBC 'WW1 at Home' project tasked with producing a 100 new stories about the home front. She is currently completing an entry for an online International Encyclopedia of the First World War on food shortages in Britain and Ireland.
