Howard Chaykin is an American comics writer and artist born in 1950 in Newark, NJ. He is the artist behind Marvel Comics’ famed 1977 comic adaptation of Star Wars, as well as one of the original Star Wars movie posters. An influential name in comics since the 1970s, he is also known for his groundbreaking work on American Flagg!, Blade, The Shadow, Time², Hawkgirl, Hey Kids! Comics!, The Divided States of Hysteria, and much more.
