Jonathan Okeke-Mpi Chimakonam is a senior lecturer at the Department of Philosophy, University of Calabar, Nigeria and a Research Fellow at the Department of Philosophy, University of Pretoria, South Africa.

This book is about the unconcern for, and subjugation of, the environment by philosophy in Africa. The issue of environment is still very much neglected by governments, corporate bodies and academics in the sub-Saharan Africa. This book will be of great interest to students and scholars of Philosophy, African, Environmental and Gender Studies.
