Stephanie A. Young is a native of Miami Florida, though her poetry roots were planted and cultivated in rural Georgia. The three hundred and thirty three acre farm, where Stephanie was raised, left her with pleasant memories. Cooking, sewing, as well as growing fruit and vegetables are all fond reminiscent skills that were taught by her six great aunts. A love for God was introduced to Stephanie at a very young age. Also instilled, was a strong love for family, and good values. Stephanie is a loving wife to Yancey of twenty-five years and mother of two sons, Johnathan (24), and Jordan (12). Writing became a way of expressing her inner thoughts and feelings. Ultimately, the joy of words manifested into short stories and poetry. "When My Soul Started To Fly" is the first of many works coming forth from the journeys of Stephanie Young.
