JEANNINE SAVARD was born in Glens Falls, New York. An associate professor of English at Arizona State University, she teaches in the MFA program and serves as Director of the Concentration in Creative Writing for English Majors. Among her collections of poetry are Trumpeter (Carnegie Mellon, 1993) and My Hand Upon Your Name (Red Hen Press, 2005). Snow Water Cove, her first collection, was selected by Dave Smith for the University of Utah Press Poetry Series in 1988. She is a recipient of the Jerome Shestack Prize from The American Poetry Review, and her work has appeared in The Southern Review, The Kenyon Review, North American Review, The Iowa Review and numerous other journals.
