Offers a queer pedagogy of writing. This project looks closely at student writing, transcripts of class discussions, and teaching practices in first-year writing courses to articulate queer theories of literacy and writing instruction while considering the embodied actuality of being a queer teacher.
Stacey Waite is assistant professor of English at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and has published four collections of poems: Choke, winner of the Frank O'Hara Prize; Love Poem to Androgyny; the lake has no saint, winner of the Snowbound Prize; and Butch Geography.
