Alan Sharp owns an historical tour-guiding business in York; he also serves as the chief guide and regularly conducts large numbers of tourists around the city. He is also a stand-up comedian, performing on television and in some of the top comedy clubs in the country. He has a BA in English and Drama from University College, Dublin, and was a contestant on the 2012 season of Mastermind.
