Sir John Grimley Evans is a Professor Emeritus of Clinical Geratology at the University of Oxford. He studied at St John's College Cambridge and Balliol College, Oxford and has been awarded a number of honours and distinctions including the British Geriatrics Society Dhole Eddlestone Memorial Prize for contributions to research in geriatric medicine, Knight Bachelor for services to medicine, Fellowship of the Academy of Medical Sciences, and Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Society of Medicine.
